After receiving his BA in Dance from UC Berkeley, Todd Eckert made San Francisco the home base for his creative work. Todd danced with Robert Moses’ Kin from 2001 – 2011, performing annually in California and throughout the US. Since 2003 he has presented his own choreography in many venues in San Francisco including Dance Mission Theater, ODC Theater, and the OtherDance Festival. Since 2007, he has produced his annual home season “Shared Space” in collaboration with Nol Simonse. Todd taught contemporary dance to adults and teens at the ODC Dance Commons from 2004 – 2014, and has taught as a Lecturer in the Dance Department at UC Berkeley. In 2010, he was commissioned to create a work for the Stanford University Dance Department. As an administrator, Todd was the general manager of the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company for 14 years. In 2017, he earned his MFA in Dance from the Ohio State University.
